Terrace January 8, 2007 Wayne Hasson Dear Wayne, As promised, now that the holidays are over, I had the time to take a look at some of the material you sent regarding the aquatic programs for the cognivetely and physically challenged youths. What a great series of programs. You should be very proud of the work your organization is doing. Several years ago I became directly involved as an active volunteer for the Oceans for Youth program. Since then I have thoroughly enjoyed making a number of presentations to schools and youth associations. Geography wise, the farthest one was ½ way around the globe in the Marshall Islands at the Majuro Coop School. What a great expereince that was. Next week, I have two more in my local area here in NJ. This past year was also a good one for our charitable Foundation. Therefore we have been able to generate another donation to the Oceans for Youth program. Please find the enclosed check for $5000. As with the past, our only request is that the funds be directly used for specific projects or programs and not be used to cover administrative overhead or expenses. Again, your organization is performing great work and we are proud to be able to provide support to grow it further. With the recent weather conditions in the tri-state region, more people are beginning to recognize the slow but sure effects of global warming. With the rising ocean temperatures playing such a strong role in the phenomonon, it is important for our future generations to become more knowledgeable about the oceans that cover over 70% of the global surface area. Since the Directors are interested in learning about the activities supported by their donations, please let me know how these funds are finally used. The prior funds were used to develop additional materials to support the volunteer presentations. I really hope we have the opportunity to dive together some time in the foreseeable future.
